First Aid Course Opens Next Monday Night at High School

Little Patsie Walnece McKinney daughter of Mr and Mrs W S McKinney was admitted to the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Crippled Children in Dallas on January 14 for treatment of infantile paralysis from six months old. Doctors outlined plaster blocking and possibly surgery. This case underscores the March of Dimes drive to fight infantile paralysis and urges donations.

Funeral Service Held for Morrow Baby
Funeral services were held Friday January 23 for Michael Dewaine infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Burl Morrow. Rev B Brand pastor conducted the service. Michael Dewaine weighed 3 pounds at birth and died January 22 despite medical effort. Interred in Andrews cemetery.

Scouts from Andrews reported vivid scenery, with the canyon praised as one of Texas’s most beautiful. Joe Dillard Corkey Wilson and Lawrence Rhodes represented Andrews during the visit. Charles Duncan, son of Mr and Mrs C W Duncan, was admitted for treatment of a head injury.

Icy Weather Causes Fatal Auto Accident
One man was killed and another injured when their Mercury Coupe overturned on an icy Andrews Big Spring highway about 25 miles east of Andrews. Willie A. Scott 55 of Lamesa died at the scene. S E Hemphill of Lamesa was treated at Andrews Hospital.
