Old Eye Donor Gives Hope to United Leye Patient
A 60 year old Albany man donated his left eye to 19 year old Frank Chabina Jr at Charity Hospital in New Orleans. The donor John Amos 61 from St Joseph offered his good cornea to help the youth recover sight after lime dust burns. The operation follows successful cornea transplants reported in the US and Russia.

Baby Smothered in Open Car Between Midland and Stamford
A two and a half month old boy, Charles Lee Richardson of Glendale Arizona, died after being left asleep in the back seat of an open car en route to Stamford. The parents discovered the death five miles west of Midland when preparing a cabana. A doctor could not help. the infant was embalmed in Midland and burial set for Snyder tomorrow with services in Stamford.

Pioneer McQuarters Dies In Andrews At 69
W. W. McQuarters, a longtime Andrews County pioneer and cattleman, died suddenly December 4 at age 69. He moved to Andrews 30 years ago and was active in the Methodist Church. Survived by wife, two sons Oscar and Walter, daughter Mrs Nick McMurray, brother Jim and three sisters. The Red Cross drive raised 45 dollars directed by C r Sealey and local solicitors.

Head On Collision Kills One Injures Another Near Andrews
In fog on Highway No. 53 a head on collision south of Andrews killed one man and injured J. L. Puckett. The other victim’s name was not released as he was taken to Odessa. Puckett received treatment from Dr. J. L. Little and was not seriously hurt.
