Season tickets on sale and a Monday night Quarterback Club meeting plan the football push. Training begins Tuesday with Coach Francis Tubb distributing uniforms to about forty players at ten, with actual practice at four. Tubb, recovering in hospital, may be present. Most A and B squad players are in good shape after summer work. Training stays at the school, three to five thirty, twenty-four workouts before the opening game against Dalhart. Coaches optimistic about a tougher home-heavy schedule, naming Monahans and Pecos as the teams to beat in the district, with both games in Andrews.

Vaccination Watch For School Entry Expanded
Parents are urged to vaccinate children before August 15 to enter school. Diphtheria and smallpox shots will be given at the primary building clinic under Dr. Hutchinson and nurse Mrs. Jones at 50 cents per shot, three shots total. Booster shots allowed for those already vaccinated. Birth certificates and immunization records required for new entrants. six years old by November 1, 1950. Examinations offered by Dr. Hutchinson at $3.00 per child including lab work.

Two Carnival Men Jailed After Tuesday Night Fight
Two carnival workers were jailed in Justice T. L. Causseaux court for disturbing the peace after a melee at Dudley's Carnival just before opening. John Suggs Pat Wright and Dee Sanford were cited as involved. Julius J Henderson and Edward Henderson were booked for disturbing the peace.

Six Andrews High Band Students Enroll in HSU Clinic
Six Andrews High School senior band members will enroll in the eleventh annual Music Recreation Camp at Lueders from August 13 to 26. Hardin-Simmons University sponsors the clinic with Pat Arser of Alam o Heights directing a faculty of specialists. Three hours of college credit are available for directors and graduates, with a closing program by students. Funeral Services Held In Sweetwater For Reed's Mother
Mrs. J. H. Reed 78 mother of Virgil Reed died in Alta Loma California and her body was sent to Sylvester Texas for burial. Thomp son s Funeral Home directed arrangements.
