Six dozen football enthusiasts attended the initial Quarterback meeting for the season. James Roberts was elected president with Roy Sparks and Charles Dean as vice chairs. A. M. Carruth, employee of Bum Gibbons Contracting Co, was injured when his pickup collided with a truck driven by J. M. Hurt n Car Mishap Injures Otis Etter on Highway 51
Otis Leon Etter suffered facial and head injuries when his car overturned on a soft shoulder in a ditch after another vehicle cut in on Highway 51 near Reynolds Shell Station last Saturday night. Etter said he lost control when the other car cut in front of him.
