Michigan House Expels Rep Monte Geralds for Embezzlement
After a month of agonizing debate the Michigan House voted 84 to 20 to expel Rep Monte Geralds the first time a legislator has been removed for embezzlement. Geralds claimed innocence in an emotional speech before colleagues and live TV. He will be sentenced today in Oakland County Circuit Court for taking money from a Bloomfield Hills heiress.
