Lawyers seek Indiana Supreme Court release for Kiritsis

Attorneys for Anthony G. Kiritsis petition the Indiana Supreme Court to order his release from LaRue Carter State Mental Hospital or advance the civil commitment hearing. The filing follows failed attempts at a compromise after discussions with the lower court and state officials. The case cites fifth amendment privacy rights and the possibility of federal charges, noting Kiritsis has refused psychiatric exams and was held since November 9 after an insanity ruling connected to a 1980s morgage executive abduction in Indianapolis.
