In Great Falls on September 23, John Mathieson was found not guilty of smuggling cocaine from Canada. Elizabeth Brown failed to appear and her $1,000 bond was forfeited. They were arrested in March here, with a large drug quantity found concealed in the woman’s clothing.

Triple celebration marks Mount Madison I O O F and Rebekah lodge visit
In Pony on September 23 Mount Madison I O O F lodge and Superior Rebekah lodge hosted a combined triple celebration. The event honored the Montana Rebekah leader Mrs. Sellers, marked the twenty second anniversary of Mount Madison lodge, and celebrated the founding of the Rebekah degree in the U S. A banquet was served to about 75 attendees. Deputy District President Mrs. M W Jackson presented a cut glass piece to Mrs. Sellers and dancing closed the program.
