Anaconda Man Landry Faces Assault Charge
James Landry was arrested on an assault in the second degree charge issued by County Attorney Duffy at the urging of J. E. Wire. Landry pleaded not guilty and a preliminary examination was set for tomorrow at 10 AM with a $500 bond. Wire says Landry assaulted him after a dispute over employment at Landry’s hop house and saloon on North Main Street. Landry denies the accusation and promises to present evidence.

Arrested by Joe Stevens in Anaconda horse theft case
Ke Storey reports a horse and buggy stolen from his property west of Anaconda. Deputy Sheriff Joe Stevens found the buggy at Rasmussen ranch and arrested Charles Thomas at Race Track station. Thomas, recently recovered from a spree, claims permission to take the horse and buggy to Deer Lodge valley. He is jailed to await court.
