Captain Emmet Kilpatrick of the American Red Cross and two nurses were killed during a Bolshevik cavalry raid on Salkovo station near Sebastopol. Reports said Kilpatrick and C Atechny of the Mennonite relief society were captured earlier, with Kilpatrick last seen in bitter zero weather being led away. Two Montanans, F. J. Johnson of Joliet and Leon K. Wiess of Missoula, were among those reported safe.

Musicians return to Rialto after union agreement
After a day of negotiations between Rialto owners J. H. Rowe and Louis Dreibelbis and labor unions, the orchestra resumed duty last night. The Rialto had been unfairly targeted amid disputes with Jensen & Von Herberg, a rival circuit now bought by the Rialto owners. Big crowds attended every show, with some patrons unable to gain admission, stated manager W. J. Sullivan.

Red Cross Worker Captured by Bolshevists in Russia
Capt. Emmet Kilpatrick of Uniontown Pa, a Red Cross worker held by Bolshevists, was captured Oct. 29 at Nova Alexievka when Budenny's cavalry swept the west coast of the Sea of Azov. With him were Stephen A. Venear of Albany and James D. Heddinger of Baltimore. Maj. George Herbert Ryden, director of Red Cross operations in Southern Russia, says all remaining workers, about 20, are believed safe in the Crimea, all men, as Red Cross does not employ women in this territory.
