Pride of Jennico Wows Suttons Audiences with Two Sold-Out Shows
The Pride of Jennico drew large crowds at Suttons Broadway theater with strong performances by Wallace Wolseley and Frances Neilson. Suzanne Halpren, William Romanin, and David Landau also earned praise as the gypsy girl, Sir John Beddees, and the Prince of Lusatana. The play, based on a novel, blends romance and adventure in a European setting with brigands and gypsies, ending happily. Al White's Elite Stock company then presented The Circus Girl to good houses at the Family theater, touring Granite and Deer Lodge counties before continuing to Pony, Twin Bridges, Sheridan, and Virginia City with plans for a first-class plays series and specialty acts.
