Anaconda Country Club invites golfers from Butte Missoula Deer Lodge and Dillon to play July 8. A get together will end with a large outdoor barbecue as preparations aim to host several hundred visitors. Play runs dawn to dusk with entertainment at the club house.

Marie Smith left for Yellowstone Park to work over the summer. Glen Vacchiery of Wickes called on Boulder residents. Mrs Lees Taylor and Nan Parkinson returned after visiting Havre. W D Rankin of Helena and the Moore couple returned from California. Ed Quinn and family shopped in town. Irvin Tuttle Arthur Aspengrin and Will Soll drove to Helena for an Elks meeting.
Holbrook Blinn renowned stage and screen actor and producer died at his Residence Journey's End in Croton-on-Hudson New York. The Associated Press reports the death as a dramatic loss to cinema and theater circles with Blinn remembered for his versatile career.
Dr. B. T. Asbury, president of the local Kiwanis club, yesterday returned from the international Kiwanis convention held in Seattle last week. He said the meeting was very successful and he enjoyed his visit. Other Anaconda Kiwanis members who attended will return later.
The Montana State Fish and Game commission will hold its regular meeting tomorrow morning at the Montana hotel with routine business expected. Members listed are Thomas N. Marlowe as chairman, G. T. Boyd, Joseph L. Kelly, W. K. Moore, and E. A. Wilson, with state game warden Robert H. Hill also in attendance.
A marriage license was issued yesterday to William A. Spaun 24 and Miss Alice Katherine Meloy 19 both of this city.

Miss Alice Dolan daughter of Charles Dolan married Raymond Cashell a young Butte businessman in a high mass at St Pauls church attended by Miss Mary Logan and Wilbur J Gray. Rev Father Leitham officiated. After mass the couple and guests traveled to Butte for a wedding breakfast at the Chequamegon cafe. The couple will honeymoon in Spokane and reside in Butte.
Police found a Dodge sedan without plates abandoned in an alley behind 814 East Fourth Street late Sunday night. The car was towed to the Park garage for safekeeping and investigation.
Two games were played of four scheduled in the Junior baseball league. St Pauls beat Lincoln 9 to 5 in the heavy weight division while Daly School edged Lincoln 14 to 13 in the division C tilt. St Peters forfeited Daly in the B division and Third Street Specials forfeited to Duvals in AA.
