In Dillon on June 24 Dale Tash W B Hartwig Frank O Keefe and H M Brundage survived in the championship and first flight of the Dillon Country club men s golf tournament. Semifinals scheduled this afternoon with several close 18 hole matches ahead of finals set for July 1 next Sunday.
Dillon approves five mill school bond in voter turnout
Dillon voters endorsed a five mill school bond by 56 to 36 in District No. 10. With 92 ballots cast, the largest school election in years, the levy will pay $20,000 in outstanding war warrants and add to the current 10 mill levy.

Body of Byron Hand Found in Big Hole River
The 25 year old Byron Hand of Reichle disappeared February 28 from his ranch home and was found yesterday in the Big Hole river seven miles below the Hand home. The body was recovered by Frank and Carl Kambich and taken to Butte. Services set for 3 PM at the Presbyterian church in Melrose with interment in Melrose cemetery.
