Rifle Range Opens To Train Eligibles
The Anaconda Rifle club adopted a plan to support the preparedness program by opening the range to any registered military age resident liable to duty. Club members will loan regulation rifles with cartridges at cost and instructors on site to help prospects learn the military rifle and improve marksmanship. Appointments can be made by notifying secretary Fred Fisher. Five members completed the qualification course despite wind and snow, posting scores at 200, 500, and 600 yard slow-fire and 500 yard rapid-fire targets.
