Carpenters Tools Theft Leads to Court Actions
Charles Hanson and C E Spencer, described as morphine fiends, are jailed on charges of stealing carpenters tools from a building on China alley. Kopald and Lewkowitz, second hand dealers at 68 West Broadway, must answer charges for purchasing the tools without proper return. Detectives nabbed the dealers and Hanson and Spencer were arrested, with five stolen saws later identified by carpenters B F Smith and M F Collins.
