Picnic Train Outing From Butte to Mountain View Park
The Fraternal Order of Eagles plans an all day picnic at Mountain View park near Deer Lodge Sunday July 20. Special trains depart Montana Union depot at 8 30 and 10 30 am with return times 7 15 and 11 29 pm. Round trip fare adults one dollar and children fifty cents, good on regular trains from Butte at 1 15 pm. A race via the Butte Anaconda and Pacific railway offers 80 cents round trip from Butte to Mountain View with stopovers at Anaconda. Trains run from Butte at 7 am 10 15 am 1 20 pm and 5 15 pm returning 11 30 am 5 pm 7 15 pm and 11 pm. First Anaconda to Mountain View train at 11 15 am and then every 44 minutes.
