Early Rush to the Park Land Scheme Novel Route to Yellowstone Excursion

The Northern Pacific and the Washington & Columbia River railways plan a July Yellowstone park excursion from Spokane to Cinnabar with a five and a half day stay. The special train will be the finest the Northern Pacific can furnish at a low first class rate. Officials aim to attract teachers and others not usually traveling to the park. The NP has bought 20 000 acres in North Yakima Washington to create irrigation works and sell land to settlers, costing about 300 000 dollars. Water restoration will enable settlement for 3000 to 5000 people and test irrigated land value.
