John P. Jack Cudahy of the Kansas City packing family was found dead at his Hollywood home in Los Angeles. Police say he killed himself with a shotgun placed in his mouth, toes triggering the weapon. He died at 43, with wife and four children away from the scene. authorities investigate the tragedy.
William J. Byrnes of Butte requests U S intervention after learning his son William Byrnes, age 20, is reportedly arrested and held in Crumlin prison Belfast Ireland. Spokane April 20. In a surprise move, Jay E. Hough’s trial for first degree forgery heard testimony from Ruth Milholland widow of his late partner John B. Milholland. The case centers on forged Teel irrigation district bonds and a scheme that allegedly defrauded James F. Callahan of over 400000. Hough claimed Milholland threatened his life if he spoke.
