Press Club Visits Ames Draws Outings And District Plans
The Women's Press Club outing in Ames featured a noon luncheon at Mrs. Beyer s and a college tour including barns and stock judging. A twilight recital, reception in Margaret hall, and tea followed before train time cut the visit short. The district convention plans were outlined for October 31 and November 1 with five counties, forty federated clubs, and committee chairs. Local clubs prepare entertainment and hospitality and anticipate seventy five to one hundred delegates.
