Adjourned Polk and Story Counties Drain Hearing Adopts Assessments
Joint Polk and Story county boards met at Slater IA on September 14 1906 to review the Polk Story drain. They approved the supervising engineer Frank McNutt bond and overruled objections to drainage district assessments. Several objectors appeared with counsel and damages for Nels Helland were approved. Tax levies were ordered on Drainage District Number Nine tracts with lines recorded by the two treasurers.

Polk Story Drain No 1 Plan Approved by Story County Board
The September 24 1906 adjourned meeting notes a resolution authorizing bonds for Polk Story Drainage District No 1.
