Carl Anderson shipped three carloads totaling fifty three head of fat steers to Chicago on Sunday morning. The steers averaged over fifteen hundred pounds with uniform size and color. Most came from Carl's own feeding with ten exceptions.

Miss Rosena Stobbart formerly of Centerville becomes Mrs. Ross V. Coutts of Grinnell after a March 3 ceremony in Independence Missouri. The bride, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Stobbart, worked at Iowa State College and in Centerville offices before teaching animal husbandry at ISU. The couple will reside in Kansas City Kansas where Coutts is a mechanical engineer for the Union Pacific.
Tom Foster son of Mr and Mrs Scott Foster who run the Owl club on Pike Avenue in the fourth ward returns home after a long voyage with the United States navy fleet on a 30 day furlough. He toured China Australia France and other lands during the world cruise and speaks of the sailors receptions. He bought clothes in Philadelphia and is in excellent health after the trip.
