An escaped convict Donohue who fled Anamosa with Glenn Maxwell a Story county offender was captured in Des Moines and returned to the reformatory Maxwell had been sent from this county for rape and escaped by scaling water pipes. Maxwell was later captured at Carroll. Donohue had served part of a ten year indeterminate sentence.

The Coffeyville Kansas booster train with eighty sunflower state boosters stopped in Ames yesterday morning. They left Coffeyville at 8 45 on a five day trip through Kansas Missouri Iowa and Nebraska to promote Coffeyville. In Ames they distributed advertising matter and newspapers while a ten piece band led the parade down Main street.

Northwestern Depot Opens in Chicago with Public Farewell
The new Northwestern terminal in Chicago opened at 6 20 Sunday morning as No 16 pulled in. A luncheon on Saturday honored fifty road officials and praised three floor facilities for travelers along with engineering feat by W C Armstrong who built the depot and Boone high bridge. The Chelsea wreck near May 30 shows one baggage car four pullman two tourist cars and one observation car derailed with no broken bones though many were bruised.
