Prof A V Storm accepts Minnesota ag education head role at 4600 salary amid Minnesota lifting its budget with a 10000 appropriation for the department. He comes to Minneapolis after three years in Ames where he led extension work and the new agricultural education program. The Ames college notes his departure as a loss of a top educator.
Roy O'Donnell, a 1898 graduate of Iowa State College, returns as head of the stock judging department at Ames. He has farmed near Cole and was sought by Professor Kounecs to lead practical work, bringing notable experience to the program.

The past week brought cooler days with above normal rainfall except in the southern counties. A sharp lightning and thunder crash struck around five on Saturday afternoon during a heavy rain. Attorney Underwood found a two year old colt dead in his pasture at the east end of town, valued at two hundred dollars.
