Clarence Ross Killed Saturday in Ontario Plunge
Clarence Ross, a young Ontario resident, was electrocuted Saturday afternoon while working as a lineman on the Port Dodge Des Moines and Southern interurban line near Fort Dodge. He touched a live feeder wire and died instantly. coworker Harry Mandus aided the emergency call and observed the tragedy. He was 21 or 22, born 1890, and had lived in Ontario most of his life. Funeral services were held Tuesday. he leaves two sisters and four brothers.

Gilbert men injured in Sunday motorcycle crash
John Hansen and Jacob Jacobsen of Gilbert were seriously injured Sunday when their motorcycle failed to negotiate a sharp turn north of the Olver Henderson farm. Both were unacquainted and went off the road into a fence. Albert Jacobson found them unconscious and rushed them to a doctor. Hanson suffered a broken collarbone and other injuries while Jacobson sustained serious bruises.

A large barn at Ben J. Coles residence on 20 Linseth Avenue was destroyed by fire last Tuesday morning. Mrs. Cole noticed smoke and found hay burning. the fire threatened nearby frame buildings but firefighters saved the area. The hay loft burned, other items were removed, origin believed to be children with matches, and some loss covered by insurance.
