Three Injured on the Fourth in Ames Fireworks
A quiet Fourth in Ames left three people injured by fireworks. Ralph Morris, seven, burned his face and left eye by a giant cracker then treated for deeper facial burns. Newton Morris had a slightly burned hand from a sky rocket. Frank Field, visiting from Shennanadesh, was harmed in the eyes and hands by a fuse explosion. Harold Griffith, ten, burned near the left eye by cap explosions. Orville Harris also suffered severe eye burns at home in Nevada.
