Armour scholarships crown twelfth annual short course
The twelfth annual short course closed after a strong showing in quality over quantity with about six hundred enrolled including many new farmers. Speakers included Senators Young and Cummins and W B Barney as the course highlighted junior and women participants, prize corn sales, dairy and butter contests, and the five Armour scholarship winners led by R L Freeman Fontanelle with top scores.

Edgerton Injured at Lake City Freight Yard Misadventure
Otto Edgerton a Northwestern brakeman fell from a moving freight car at Lake City around 7:50 pm. The impact by protruding chicken coops on the depot platform fractured a small bone in his right leg. He was brought home and resting well this morning.
