Fast Mail Kills Cattle in Snow Between Woodbine and Logan
A west bound fast mail train near Woodbine and Logan plowed into a herd of cattle in a blinding snow storm. Eight steers were killed, some drawn under the locomotive. the engine lifted from the rails but no injuries to passengers or crew. After a 20 minute delay, the train reached Council Bluffs.
