Local Ames Couple Wed in Morning Ceremony
On Wednesday at high noon Alvin Banks and Lucy Bateman were married at the Bateman home north east of Ames. Rev. Andrew M. Shea officiated before about ninety invited guests. A three course luncheon followed and numerous gifts were exchanged. The bride, known in the area, has long resided near Ames, and the groom is a respected farmer east of the city. Friends extend warm congratulations.

Harry Koons died Tuesday forenoon at 11 at the Frank Kooser home northeast of Ames. Funeral arrangements have not yet been made. He leaves a family. Mary Leecing died at her home in the city this morning at 10 15. No definite funeral arrangements have been announced.
