Boone Man Knew Crippen The Gossips About A Notorious Doctor
Bradford Pierce recalls the English physician Dr. Crippen once employed by McCune Shoe and Dr. Humphrey Homeopath Remedy of Philadelphia about eleven years ago. Crippen, described as clever and small with red moustache, glasses, and thinning hair, fled to Europe after claiming his wife inherited wealth from Poland relatives. He left the United States amid a financial mix up and was later linked to murder charges in Quebec. Pierce notes Crippen’s wife, a London music hall singer, never came to America. Pierce had no further remarks on later developments.
