One by One We Parted in a Quiet Verse

Fragmentary verses evoke reflection on loss and passage of life. The lines speak of kinship, memory, and a journey from earthly care to a heavenly shore, with recurring images of flowers transplanted to the better land and souls rising beyond. The jagged text hints at a memorial or funeral poem with religious imagery and tender emotion.
