Wise area reports discourage Dudley’s chances as Crisp and Colquitt press to block him. Parker just back from Washington says Senate may confirm if not withdrawn. Clarkson notes opposition from Americus letters while nine applicants are discussed. Bloom Brown’s bid fades. Dudley still has $50 political backing.

Miss Lila Edmonds attended a grand Valentine ball in Dawson. Musical entertainment at Mrs Shackelford’s on First Street was enjoyed. Miss Mollie Hill visiting Macon.
