TWO LYNCHED IN FLORIDA NEAR NEWBERRY
Manny Price and Bob Scruggs were lynched about 6:30 pm near Newberry Florida by a mob of about 300 men while en route to Gainesville. Price confessed to killing W F Brunson, superintendent at the nearby Buttrerenback mines, and implicated Scruggs who had been held on weapons charges. The bodies were left on a tree, riddled with bullets.
