Grizfty Georgia September 4 The Farmers' Banking Company gains approval and opens for cotton subscription funding. Col Searcy leads with 913 bales of cotton pledged to back the bank, planning open subscriptions immediately and regular business by October 1. The stockholders number over 600 with estimated wealth over $2,000,000.
