Skeleton found in garret shocks Decatur county area

In Shelbyville Oct 24 a human skeleton was found hidden in the garret of Dr. John W. Riley’s farmstead near Sardina Decatur county. The fully intact bones were wrapped in a sheet and had lain for years. The investigation traces a history of John Clendenning and his heirs, a missing stock buyer named McKinney, a horse linked to Clendenning, and a fractured skull suggesting foul play. Public interest runs high as locals seek the truth in a long-standing family dispute and murder speculation.
