Bank cashier Faust charged with $16000 shortage

J H Faust cashier of the First National bank of Balisbury was arrested as he left the bank with a defalcation of 16000 dollars. He resigned Tuesday morning and W C Blackmer was elected to replace him. Faust was a longtime resident and deacon in the First Presbyterian church. The shortage is blamed on losses in southwest Virginia property.
