Americus delegation leaves by Georgia and Alabama for Savannah to attend the three day Pythian Knights conclave. Delegates include W. A. Dodson C. E. Van Riper and J. W. Shiver among others. A proposal at the Grand Lodge aims to reduce delegates by limiting lodges with multiple representatives.

A Cottage hotel near the Stuart House burned last night in Thomasville, destroying the hotel owned by the Wright estate, Herrings residence, and damaging Stuart House. Insurance covered the Cottage hotel for 2000, Mrs Schroeder furniture for 500, Mr Herring building 1200 and furniture 500. The Times Enterprise office faced danger with likely small loss.
Judge F Harrin sentences Douglas Cooper in La! Gnaxok Georgia on May 17 to twelve years in the penitentiary for the murder. The judge called Cooper a slayer and imposed the sentence this morning.
The Sumter superior court will convene May term with a list of grand jurors drawn.
