Giant yellow pine yields 4288 feet of boards in Georgia
Cordele May 15 S J Hill who runs a saw mill on the Cannon & Company farms along Flint river pulled a giant yellow pine from the woods. The log yielded 4,288 feet of inch and a half boards with eight 10 foot pieces and the first 34 inches wide and the last 31 inches. A reminder of days when such giants graced these woods ahead of the mill and turpentine still.
