Burglary at Allen and Sheffield’s Nets Large Haul

Thieves burgled Allen and Sheffield’s store in the night taking a large assortment of top goods. Clerks found a door ajar, clothing and footwear scattered, cash drawer forced with only $3.50 missing. Prominent Abbeville Doctor In Overdose Crisis

Dr. A B Robertson a Cedar Creek physician in Wilcox County lies unconscious and near death after taking an overdose of nux vomica and Fowler's solution of arsenic at the House. The motive remains unclear though personal crisis is suspected.

Masons Elect Officers at Georgia Grand Session

The grand chapter of Royal Arch Masons of Georgia elected officers for the year. W. A. Wolshin of Macon became recorder and treasurer, succeeding his father. The Royal Arch Masons awarded Grand High Priest Wessolowsky a jewel and paid tribute to the late A. M. Wolshin.

Perry Dated to Swing Murderer to Hang May 21

After sixteen hours the jury found H. S. Perry guilty of murdering Bealy Lanier. Judge Candler sentenced Perry to hang on May 21. The condemned man appeared unmoved as the sentence was pronounced.
