They seek funds for food lodging and a return ticket, while railroads offer Albany excursion options. A ceremonial Americus train to Albany departs Friday at 9 AM with Macon troops joining the event.
The state’s negro defendant Andy Fletcher, linked to the Hudson building arson years ago, will undergo a third trial after the supreme court reversed a lower court ruling. In Banks v. State, Macon Superior Court had convicted Banks of murder and the supreme court affirmed that judgment.
