New Orleans reports describe John Cudney known as Brother Isaiah, a self styled healer who cures by laying on hands. Crowds of all backgrounds gather at his riverfront boat with many claiming cures though critics point to psychosomatic and non organic relief.
In Andersonville on March dates the community welcomes back patients and shares health updates for local families. Visitors and relatives arrive from Montezuma, Penney County and Macon as influenza recovery progresses. Notable arrivals include the Slappey brothers visiting from Atlanta and residents passing through to the National Cemetery and prison area.
March 22 reports a 9-year-old boy, son of Joe Bolton, seriously injured near Leslie while rescuing his baby cousin from an oncoming car driven by Rev C B Durden. The accident occurred in front of Edgar Bolton’s home. The boy suffered a severe head wound with suspected skull fracture. Durden said he did not see the child. The child was treated at home after a physician was summoned.
Dr and Mrs J R Jordan entertained guests at an informal tea in Ellaville on a remodeled luxurious home. Attendees included Rev Albert B Allen Rev C E Cook Prof S E Denton S A Manning Jim Cook and Daniel Rainy Protracted Methodist services draw to a close with good attendance despite bad weather.

In Pullman Washington on March 23 the Interstate Commerce Commission granted the Pullman Company permission to file tariffs raising berth rates by about 20 percent.
Leslie March 23 The Radcliffe Chautauqua closed its second season here March 19 20 22 with Americanization as the keynote. Lectures on building a community and civic duties were interspersed with varied musical performances by local and visiting artists. Browsing news notes mention plans to bring the event back next year and local social happenings including a rock party hosted by Mr and Mrs Reese Andrews with seventeen tables and elegant refreshments.
Mrs S J Bradley underwent an operation at Americus Hospital on Wednesday. Visitors included Mr and Mrs J H Potter and children at the Bray home. Mrs G N Bailey visited Mrs MC Veal. Miss Bessie Veal visited Miss Dette Parker. Ethel Parker stayed with the Parker family. The Doster family came from Mock Ford to be with their daughter. Several Parker and Veal family members visited friends Saturday evening and Sunday.
Washington March 23 President Wilson withdrew government control of bituminous coal prices to allow a 27 percent wage advance for miners to be absorbed in consumer costs after April 1. He urged operators and miners to agree on the majority report basis, warning against restraint of trade and profiteering and urging action without delaying coal prices.
