Desperado Tom Adams recaptured near Plains
Tom Adams, a black desperado and ringleader who led a Saturday jail assault, was captured Tuesday morning near Plains by farmers Dan Faust and Tom Jennings. Officers pursued Adams after a tip, and he was bound with plowline and returned to Americus jail with Deputy Fuller’s pistol recovered.
