Two pilots killed as planes collide near Corry Field
Pensacola March 17. Lieutents Olin R. Miner and Chaves D. Porter were instantly killed when their plane collided with another and fell near Corry Field this morning. Lieutenants Henry M. Mullinix and T. G. Fisher, occupants of the other machine, are not believed seriously injured. All were attached to the naval air station here.

Satterfield Sawed From Fulton County Jail
Atlanta March 17 J B Satterfield under a death sentence for murdering R H Hart escaped from the county jail by sawing bars in his steel cage and jail windows during the night. The state Supreme Court denied a new trial last week. Convicted December 1921 after a family quarrel, he fled to Los Angeles where he was recaptured. His daughter’s attempted suicide followed, then she died en route to plead for clemency. Sheriff Lowry offered 1000 dollar reward and asked for higher. Satterfield, about 50, was born in Norcross.
