Great cave uncovered in Bandersville near railroad tracks
In Bandersville on June 28 a large cave was found in the city center after rain opened a sunken hole. A vast subterranean passage lies beneath the Georgia and Florida Railroad tracks, the cave measuring about sixteen feet deep and fifty by twenty-five feet in extent with southwest stretch.
