The Chicago express on the CCC&S railway wrecked at Thorntown Indiana at 2:30 am. Four were killed instantly including engineer Sath Winslow and Fireman Crickmore. several injured lightly. A deliberate switch was opened and a coupling pin forced to keep it that way. Passengers escaped with shaking. detectives probe plot with labor trouble cited, no robberies or further harm reported. The relief train and new service were arranged from Indianapolis.
