Selma Alabama July 25 in a special session the city council refused to repeal the baby blue law and rejected a citizens petition to allow newspaper and cigar sales on Sunday. No sales except soda water allowed and hotels lose hundreds of dollars on Sundays as commercial travelers skip the city over the Sabbath.

Two More Put To Death In Georgia Mob Lynchings

In Barnsvag Georgia July 25 two more members of the gang that robbed and assaulted Mrs Ogletree have been executed by enraged citizens. This brings five lynchings since the crime and a chase continues for the remainder. Captured is Charles Mack, partner of Sammin, who aided in the crime. Mack confessed and corroborated Sammins account. both men are said to be part of a gang engaged in robbery and rape. Two more may be lynched by sunrise as authorities pursue identifications. Additionally efforts to reach Mrs Satterlee wife of the former assistant adjutant general of Georgia and captain in the regular army in North Carolina have failed. she remains with her father Bishop Capers isolated in the mountains.

Plans to Settle Strike in Tampa Cigar Factories

In Tampa on July 25 two settlement options emerge for cigar makers dispute. One proposes a three month experimental phase abolishing scales with a five member committee recording tobacco use to set an average and compare later. If unsatisfactory, scales return with a 25 percent saving donation. The other, Ellinger plan, keeps scales in all factories and gains workmen approval, though some manufacturers oppose any scales.

Bankruptcy Experts Meet to Draft Memorial for Congress

Referees and bankruptcy experts from across the country convened to study the new bankruptcy act, outline its de facto provisions, and draft a memorial to Congress for action. About 30 delegates attended the opening session which organized the convention. Charles A. Hawley was named permanent chairman as committees were formed for the discussion. Over 100 delegates expected for tonight's session.

Southern Industrial League session opens in Atlanta

The Southern Industrial League met at the Kimball House with merchants from the south. Governor Candler welcomed attendees before committees were formed.
