Railroad Wreck Injures Five Colored Train Hands in Corvines
In Corvines Georgia near July 25 a Mobile and Girard freight train collided with a palace car, wounding engineer Harry Hardy and fireman Henry Randall with serious head body cuts, as well as colored workers Tom Johnson Osborn Fegerson Richard Colaon. Conductor Jones had minor injuries. Dr Jordan, company surgeon, treated them for about five hours and predicted recovery. Public excitement followed sensational early reports.
