Leesburg Nominates E. B. Lewis for Third Georgia District

The Third congressional district Democratic convention in Leesburg nominates Hon. E. B. Lewis by acclamation to succeed himself in Congress. The platform endorses liberty, insists on repealing a ten percent bank tax, and attacks Republican trusts and imperialism while praising Kansas City’s Democratic platform led by Bryan. Lewis pledges full party loyalty and victory in November.

Stevenson Receives Warm Welcome in Lincoln

Adlai E. Stevenson Democratic nominee for vice president arrived in Lincoln Neb to attend a conference of Democratic leaders. About 1 000 people gathered at the depot to greet him with enthusiasm as the train rolled in. Bryan and Senator Jones greeted Stevenson and he shook hands with Bryan's party.

Docking of the Oregon docked near Che Foo and expected voyage

Navy reports the Oregon arrived at Che Foo and will proceed to Karen, Japan to dock around July 10 or 12.
