MOULTRIE, January 22. Coy Buntin, identified by local officers as wanted on burglary and jail breaking charges, was arrested at Tifton and brought to Colquitt County jail yesterday. He maintains it is a mistaken identity and says he has never been in Moultrie.

United States Senator Oscar Underwood of Alabama declared against the Ku Klux Klan in Cleveland addressing the Democratic presidential nomination race. He urged writing a 1856 Know Nothing plank into the party platform denouncing the Klan and pressed for broad tax reductions while opposing the soldiers bonus as unnecessary and unfair to soldiers. He warned that tax relief depends on stable business and warned against mob influence overruling courts. He also stressed enforcement of law and order by courts as essential to the republic.
