Missing Naptha Yacht Paul Jones Likely Lost at Sea

Louisville Jan 16 The naptha yacht Paul Jones sailed Dec 7 from Louisville with a party of prominent society people toward Pensacola Florida and other southern ports. It likely foundered in a gulf storm with all on board. Passengers included Col H G C Yocum and daughter Miss Yocum, G M Yocum of St Louis, Miss Florence Taggart daughter of Indianapolis mayor, and Miss Gie Woodland of Chicago. Crew members John Berry and Dadgley were the only known survivors. The last report placed the vessel near the Mississippi mouth on Jan 3.
