Michael Taylor a 28 year old former U S Army captain and Richmond attorney was fatally wounded at Highland Hospital Asheville by fellow patient Robert Moore a member of a wealthy Chicago family. Board Advised Book Prices To Go Higher
The Americas school system will raise book prices with the new school year starting next September. State school commissioner M L Brittain advised President W W Dykes and other board members of the planned increase. Depots have been asked to return unsold titles as prices may double, especially for books now selling at 25 cents or less. Dawson January 10. Excavators on the new government building site resort to dynamite after striking unusually hard soil near the surface.
