Negros Inhabitants Yield to Americ ans Insurgents Driven Out

Four Negros commissioners met General Otis in Manila on February 22 and reported the island’s inhabitants would accept any proposition from the Americans. Insurgents were driven from Negros, Iloilo rebels troubled locals over finances, and Otis urged calm while promising acceptable government.
